St Peter's Parish Church, Clayworth dates back nearly nine hundred years. It is situated in the about six miles north of Retford in north Nottinghamshire and on the ancient Roman road from Lincoln to Doncaster. It is known for its delightful recently restored,Traquair murals painted on the walls of the interior of the church over 100 years ago.
The church which serves the villages of Clayworth and Wiseton is an ancient grey-walled building, with a timber fronted porch surrounded by trees.
